In the September 1998 issue of Dazed & Confused, renowned designer Alexander McQueen took on the role of guest editor, presenting the "Fashion-Able?" edition. This groundbreaking issue featured Paralympian Aimee Mullins on the cover, photographed by Nick Knight, showcasing her wearing metal prosthetic legs inspired by a cheetah's foot.
The issue's 14-page feature, titled "Accessible," highlighted models with various physical disabilities, challenging conventional beauty standards and promoting inclusivity within the fashion industry. McQueen collaborated with fellow designers such as Hussein Chalayan, Roland Mouret, Owen Gaster, Philip Treacy, and Comme des Garçons to create custom designs for the shoot.
