JEAN PAUL GAUTHIER

Born on April 24, 1952, in Arcueil, a suburb of Paris, Gaultier's passion for fashion ignited at an early age, leading him to sketch designs and send them to famous fashion houses. His talent was recognized, and he began working as an apprentice with Pierre Cardin and later with Jean Patou. In 1976, Gaultier launched his eponymous label, quickly gaining attention for his irreverent and avant-garde designs that challenged gender norms and societal conventions. Known as the "enfant terrible" of fashion, Gaultier infused his collections with elements of punk, streetwear, and haute couture, creating a unique and eclectic aesthetic. He became famous for his mastery of corsetry, sailor stripes, and bold use of color and pattern.
