Aviakit Super Monza No.445 Number Jacket (SS 2003)

Created in collaboration with Lewis Leathers’ Aviakit for Junya Watanabe's SS03 menswear collection, this piece is a complete reimagination of the iconic Aviakit Super Monza No.445 jacket. It features Junya's signature all-over "number" text in Helvetica, first seen in his debut menswear runway, which was filled with poems.

Originally established in the 1930s as a purveyor of aviation gear, Lewis Leathers’ Aviakit label found new life in the mid-1950s, becoming synonymous with the rebellious spirit of motorcycle culture.
