In 2000 Hedi assumed the helm at Dior Homme, marking the most influential phase of his career. Under his guidance, Dior Homme gained widespread recognition, owing to Hedi’s sensitivity and innovative designs in youthful men’s clothing. This period stands out as the decisive chapter in his professional journey.

In 2005, the FW collection ‘In the Morning’ marked a transition—a sign of Slimane’s evolving sensibility. Subsequently, his later Dior Homme collections took on a more Western rock ‘n’ roll aesthetic, exemplified by pieces like ‘Navigate.’

Despite consistently presenting excellent collections, it was the iconic SS/2007 “We Look Good Together” collection that truly left a lasting impression. Presented as his farewell to the house, it featured the same slim rock chic silhouettes he had popularized years earlier. Slimane’s unwavering love for British rocker style was palpable, and the emotional impact of this final collection even moved Karl Lagerfeld to tears.
