From 1994 to 2004, Tom Ford revolutionized the house of Gucci as creative director. Gucci had been struggling before Ford’s arrival, facing significant financial challenges with a loss of over $22 million.

In 1997, Tom Ford infused the brand with a bold, sexy sophistication, drawing inspiration from the 1970s. The collection’s standout pieces included slim velvet suits, silk dresses, and of course the signature horse-bit accessories.
