HISTORY
From Spring/Summer 1999 “Relief,” one of Jun Takahashi’s pivotal early collections, these overalls reflect his reworking of utilitarian garments into conceptual fashion. The season emphasized trompe l’oeil, military references, and garment treatments that blurred the line between function and art. This jumpsuit embodies the period’s exploration of workwear aesthetics within Takahashi’s evolving underground narrative.
