HISTORY
Released in Spring/Summer 2003, “Consumed” was presented by Raf Simons as a direct examination of youth existing within consumer society. Rather than positioning itself as anti-consumerist, the collection explored the dual condition of being both the consumer and the consumed. Harnesses, straps, and control-oriented constructions replaced overt slogans, translating social systems into physical form.
