HISTORY
Released as part of Undercover’s Spring/Summer 1999 “Relief” period, this jumpsuit reflects Jun Takahashi’s early exploration of utilitarian garments filtered through conceptual design. During the late 1990s, Undercover frequently reinterpreted workwear and uniforms as vehicles for subversion and narrative expression. This tsunagi (Japanese term for coveralls or jumpsuits) embodies that approach, presenting a functional one-piece silhouette aligned with labor and industrial clothing, recontextualized within the brand’s emerging avant-garde identity.
