HISTORY
Released in 2020 as part of KANGHYUK’s Collection 8, this jacket reflects the Seoul-based brand’s ongoing practice of reconstructing discarded automotive airbags into utilitarian garments. Founded by designers Kanghyuk Choi and Sunghoon Yang, KANGHYUK is known for merging industrial safety materials with fashion, emphasizing visibility, functionality, and sustainability. Collection 8 continued this direction with modular outerwear pieces derived from repurposed airbag textiles.
