HISTORY
Released for Spring/Summer 1998 during Helmut Lang’s tenure as creative director, this jacket reflects the designer’s continued reinterpretation of utilitarian military garments through a minimalist lens. Drawing from the classic U.S. M-65 field jacket, the design emphasizes pared-back construction, restrained detailing, and functional proportions characteristic of Lang’s late-1990s collections.
