HISTORY
Presented in the Spring/Summer 2001 collection under creative director Tom Ford, this Yves Saint Laurent jacket reflects Ford’s ongoing reinterpretation of utilitarian archetypes through a refined, sensual lens. Drawing from the classic U.S. military M-65 field jacket, the design merges structured functionality with deliberate surface distressing, aligning with the season’s emphasis on worn-in luxury and controlled ruggedness during Ford’s tenure at the house.
