HISTORY
Presented in the Summer 2021 collection under creative director Demna Gvasalia, this hoodie appeared as Look 36 in the digital presentation “Afterworld: The Age of Tomorrow.” Released during the global pandemic, the collection was introduced as a video game set in a speculative future, reflecting themes of dystopia, virtuality, and accelerated aging. This piece exemplifies Demna’s exploration of hyper-realistic wear and destruction, translating streetwear codes into a luxury context through engineered distressing and exaggerated proportions.
