HISTORY

Designed by Kris Van Assche for Dior Homme’s Spring/Summer 2009 collection, this jacket channels the designer’s exploration of utilitarian futurism and architectural form. The season emphasized protection and structure, with elements of sportswear and militaria reinterpreted through a minimalist lens. The jacket’s sculptural construction and padded paneling reflect Van Assche’s departure from Hedi Slimane’s razor-thin tailoring toward a more robust silhouette.
