Presented in July 2021 under creative director Demna Gvasalia, Balenciaga’s return to Haute Couture marked the house’s first couture offering since Cristóbal Balenciaga’s closure in 1968. This oversized faux fur coat reflects Demna’s reinterpretation of archival couture silhouettes through contemporary, sculptural forms.
