HISTORY
Presented during the Spring/Summer 2002 runway collection under creative director Ann Demeulemeester, this jacket reflects the designer’s ongoing exploration of historical military references filtered through a romantic and deconstructed lens. The Napoleon-inspired cut, combined with distressed surface treatment, aligns with the early-2000s period in which Demeulemeester emphasized texture, asymmetry, and poetic severity on the runway.
