HISTORY
Presented for Fall/Winter 2003 under Rei Kawakubo’s direction, this Comme des Garçons White Label trench coat reflects the collection’s continued experimentation with volume, layering, and material hybridity. The season explored a dialogue between deconstruction and tailoring, often destabilizing classic wardrobe archetypes through doubled textiles and unexpected fabric treatments. This trench employs layered silk construction, combining fluid drape with structured outerwear form.
