HISTORY
From Autumn/Winter 2011, Walter Van Beirendonck continued his exploration of bold symbolism and graphic knitwear. This season featured vibrant color-blocking and intarsia motifs inspired by tribal markings, futurism, and coded visual language. The sweater presents a striped multicolor ground with bright yellow intarsia lines forming a face motif, complete with blue eyes, encapsulating Van Beirendonck’s playful yet subversive approach.
