HISTORY
Released in 2015 as part of Jean Paul Gaultier’s work for Sept Premières, this trench coat reinterprets a classic outerwear archetype through a distinctly modern, synthetic lens. The collaboration emphasized wearable yet expressive pieces, and this design reflects Gaultier’s long-standing fascination with material transformation, where traditional forms are reshaped using unconventional surfaces and finishes to alter perception and function.
