HISTORY
From the early 2000s, this collaboration between Issey Miyake Men and Japanese contemporary artist Takashi Murakami reflects the crossover of avant-garde fashion with Murakami’s Superflat movement. Known for his bold use of color and playful motifs, Murakami’s influence added a distinct pop-art sensibility to Miyake’s minimal menswear line. Pieces from this collaboration remain rare and collectible, celebrated for bridging art and clothing during a formative period for both creatives.
