Released in 2012 as part of CHANEL’s Resort collection under creative director Karl Lagerfeld, these culotte-style shorts reflect the house’s continued exploration of relaxed tailoring with skirt-like volume. The silhouette aligns with early 2010s CHANEL resortwear, where fluid fabrics and structured pleating were used to reinterpret classic Parisian forms for transitional wardrobes.
