HISTORY
Introduced in the early 2020s under creative director Demna, the Balenciaga Runner sneaker reinterprets late-1990s and early-2000s performance running footwear through the house’s deconstructive design language. The model reflects Demna’s continued exploration of layered construction, exaggerated proportions, and visible wear aesthetics, extending the lineage established by earlier Balenciaga sneakers such as the Triple S and Track.
