HISTORY
From Spring/Summer 2023, Balenciaga collaborated with adidas under Demna’s direction, merging sportswear codes with luxury tailoring. The partnership reinterpreted adidas’ archival motifs, including the Trefoil logo and three-stripe detailing, through Balenciaga’s oversized silhouettes. The capsule debuted on the New York Stock Exchange runway show, underscoring themes of corporate power and subcultural appropriation.
