HISTORY
Produced in the 2000s, these signature Carol Christian Poell derbies reflect the designer’s long-running interest in anatomy and prosthetic references. The silhouette is defined by an anatomically molded upper and a split U-shaped outsole in polyurethane, engineered to evoke orthopedic and prosthetic forms. Intentionally wrinkled leather and exposed construction details align with Poell’s material-led approach, where creasing, patina, and wear are treated as part of the design language.
